I am pleased to see that the terrain and character of the courses is varied and will provide enjoyable but challenging running. The discounted entry form is attached GAAA CC entry form 2009/2010; please circulate this around your club or school.

You will be aware that, as with most athletics, the league is organised by volunteers. Last year we had excellent support from timekeepers and judges but I would like to strengthen the team. If you have contact with judges or timekeepers who would like to officiate could you ask them to contact me?

Our results team is very effective but small; again I would like to strengthen it. Volunteers could be people with some IT skills or relatively unskilled but willing to read out the judges/timekeeper sheets. Last year was the first year that non-promoting clubs were asked to provide one volunteer either to help with results or marshal. It would be helpful if clubs could provide that one volunteer.

Results will be emailed to the club contacts; could you confirm the addresses I should use?

Email me at roadrace@tiscali.co.uk confirming your club or school. It would be good if all clubs could use email so that I do not need to post any results.
Results will also posted on the Gloucestershire County AA website: www.glosaaa.org.uk.
I look forward to meeting you in an exciting year’s competition!

If your club cross country secretary has changed since last year please pass this info on to them so I can be provided with the appropriate NEW contact details.

for the current LEAGUE RULES see attached CC league 2009 rules

Thank you.

Yours in sport,
Arthur Daley, Gloucestershire Cross Country Secretary,
